House Décor put to good use

Sometimes the common kitchen organizational tools just don't quite fit.  So, I took a few home décor items that I am not using now and tried them out in the kitchen.  The vase worked perfectly for all my favorite kitchen utensils that I use often.  (I have seen many people do this, so I am not taking any of the credit.)  I also decided to use this wooden leaf platter to store fruit and other items that I want to sit out on the counter. 

Neither one cost me more money and they added something new to the kitchen!
